All black elegant spiderweb Gothic Glam styled wedding
For many, black is not a wedding colour. Of course they are wrong.
For me it’s the natural choice for well, everything… and I know I’m not alone!
When we started planning this shoot to represent our 2024 wedding fair, we knew we wanted to show that black and all things dark and typically considered spooky, are actually incredibly beautiful, meaningful and really bloody glamourous. We excitedly crafted this gorgeous styled wedding shoot where black is taken to the extreme as far as the wedding world is considered. Here it’s not just a key colour, but the ONLY colour. Where spiders, webs and bones are non longer simply Halloween motifs, but wonderfully symbolic emblems of love and commitment and also insanely elegant.
Black is the colour of strength and resilience and symbolises the ability to overcome challenges and withstand any obstacles that may come your way. In some cultures black is associated with transformation and can symbolise the end of one phase and the beginning of another; a wonderful representation of the evolution of your love
Spiders and webs, though not commonly associated with weddings, could not be more appropriate! Both spiders and spiderwebs can symbolise patience, creativity and intricacy. They represent the delicate balance between strength and fragility. Including them in your wedding can be a way to embrace these qualities and signify the strength and resilience of your partnership. Spiderwebs are delicate yet remarkably strong. They remind us that love requires nurturing and care, and that even delicate connections can withstand challenges and remain strong.. They can represent the idea of capturing and holding on to love; of preserving the love and connection you have with your partner and creating a safe space for love to flourish.
See? dark, creepy for some, beautiful, and incredibly gothic!
