Whispers of Monochrome; a Gothic Love story at the Iron House

Welcome to this gothic wedding shoot organised by Garnet Weddings and captured by Gem Wright Photography, a mesmerizing blend of black and white; where every detail is meticulously crafted to embrace the dark beauty and unique charm of this gothic style. This extraordinary event is accented by elements of spider webs, skulls and two captivating brides - one adorned in black, the other in white - creating a striking visual contrast that enchants the soul.

The Iron House Birmingham, with it’s crisp black and bare brick walls provides the perfect dark industrial backdrop for this theme. Foxglove & Black, a visionary venue stylist known to weave together stunning florals. Harmonizing white blossoms with dark, luscious foliage and skilfully nestled skulls, in the backdrop and candelabras. The stationery, also created by Foxglove & Black, a masterpiece in itself, is adorned with delicate spiderwebs that seamlessly tie the overall aesthetic together.

Blueberry Moon Cakes created a towering masterpiece; an exquisite play on contrasting layers, each boasting interwoven details of skulls and webs within the floral textures.

Our brides, each a vision of beauty and contrast, embody the duality of light and shadow. Our bride in white akin to moonlight; her dress, delicate with lace and tulle, flows like a ghostly whisper. In contrast, our bride in black is a captivating enigma. She embodies the mystery and depth of a midnight dream. Both dresses created by Ryley and Flynn. Their outfits are completed and complimented by glittering spiderweb veils in reversed colours expertly created by Holly Winter Couture and stunning hair and makeup created by Sensual Passions.

The duality extends to the ceremony crafted by Miranda the Celebrant. According to Teea of Garnet Weddings “We used 2 different ceremonies to give couples variety in how they want to celebrate. One being the jumping over the broom from pagan traditions and one being a whiskey ceremony. “

The essence of this gothic-themed wedding shoot is not only in it’s visual splendour but also in the sense of individuality and timelessness and is definitely for couples who find beauty in the shadows, and whose love transcends conventional norms.
