Introducing: The Rebel Voyage

If your perfect wedding is small and intimate, and all you want is for you and your partner to run away to the wild wood then Becs is your photographer. She loves nothing more than running round the moors chasing the light and capturing you at your most natural, and we’re so pleased she’s joining us at The Curious Place.

Tell us about your photography:

I photography elopements, small weddings and micro weddings. After 11 years photographing large weddings, I found that photographing the small and more intimate weddings was what I absolutely loved and wanted to do. I also photograph couples and families.

My work is all shot outdoors among all the elements. The wilder the location the better. I Love to get creative with light and sun flares to make my images really stand out from the norm. I take my inspiration from the outdoors. the weather, art and anything vintage and film like. My Photographs have a little retro feel to them in style tones and I love to get arty. It isn’t just photography to me, it’s an artistic experience, one that my clients really feel.

How did you get into photography?

I started photography when I was around 11 when my dad bought me a camera. My dad is also a photographer so it’s no wonder really. I went professional when I was about 24 and got started straight away with weddings and christenings.

What’s the process of working with you?

So before you book me, we will chat and I’ll make sure that my style of work is exactly what you want and need and that we are a good fit. Being a good fit is so important for as it ensures that we create the best possible photos together. I’ll spend time getting to know you beforehand and delve into your personalities - your photos will be unapologetically you. I also like to go over your insecurities and really get to know what you expect from your photographs. My turnaround time for wedding photography is around 6 weeks.

How soon do people need to book you?

I would advise to book sooner rather than later, however if you date is free I welcome last minute bookings too. I take wedding bookings up to 2 years in advance

What piece of advice would you give?

One piece of advice I have for any bride and groom is to plan your wedding for you and no-one else. Try not to give in to wedding politics, you won’t regret having the wedding of your dreams.
