About Maddison Rocks Floral
I get inspiration for everything and every where. I say its the curse of the creative! Whatever you're doing or where ever you are, it can be the most obscurest of things that spark an idea. In flowers I'm obsessed with textures and colours, however I'm always on the look out to explore new techniques inside and outside of the floristry world and love nothing more than working elements into my designs that you wouldn't necessarily think would work! It's about challenging the norm and breaking with conformity! I find beauty in many form and confess to having the most eclectic of tastes!
I will openingly admit to being a crystal, disco ball loving (yes I am a child of the 70’s), magpie hoarder (of shiny pretty things), horror obsessive (at a very young age I watched the Shining, which scared the hoohar out of me and left quite a vivid mark on my soul. Muhawahawaaaaa) skull obsessive (human and otherwise) who has a penchant for the weird, wonderful and downright bonkers, which really isnt suprising as in my house being called “Normal” is the highest of insults!

Due to the bespoke nature of my florals, all designs are handmade to order so please allow a minimum of 6 months to create and despatch your order (whether it be a single items or multiple), however this time may increase during the peak wedding season.
However I am exceptionally busy all year round so to guarantee I will be available to create your wedding florals it is advisable to book your wedding date in with me.

Need your wedding flowers in a different shade, tone or theme? No problem as all designs are made to order it is possible to create the bouquet in literally any colour scheme/theme.
If you’re working to a particular colour scheme then send me either a visual of the colour palette of a physical fabric sample as I can usually match up the colours pretty much exact.
In reference to the theme then Anything goes! I have a vast array of elements and themed pieces in stock and what I don’t have can easily be ordered in from one of my many suppliers. Don’t be afraid to ask no matter how quirky, dark, unusual or sophisticated your ideas may be. Remember you’re among friends here!

I've been in the wedding industry in one form or another for 20+ years.
After graduating With a masters degree in Photographic Visual Communication at the end of the 90's I immediately jumped straight into the self employed pool and set up my business with the help of The Prince's Trust. During which time I designed and manufactured greeting cards and wedding stationery and even did a stint at shooting weddings. The last 7 years I've spent growing the floral side of my business.
What got me into doing what I do now I would say is an amalgamation of techniques and skills I've gained over the years. I'm a very hands on 3 dimensional designer and a confessed hoarder of the weird and wonderful so much so it got a little out of control so an outlet needed to be created to release these little elements back into the world!.
Originally I started creating "brooch bouquets" for the main stream wedding market, which was steady, but it wasn't until my own wedding when I created a bouquet that reflected my own personal tastes, I realised there was actually a market for the Alternative and since then I've never looked back. I Think the fact that I have such an eclectic taste and a fascination for the down right weird massively helps especially when it comes to custom orders. Custom orders let me push the boundaries of what is thought to be acceptable
